About Us

The Albatross Diving Club was formed in December 1978 by Anne Green, who is now the President of the Club.

Albatross trains at ‘Central Pool’, Battle Street Reading. The club has approximately 40 diving members ranging from complete beginners, through to Novice, Intermediate and National Age Group Levels. We also run a 'Learn to Dive' Programme of another 25 members

With 4 fully qualified coaches and 4 Assistant Coaches, the Club has shown great performances through the years with many National Age Group, and National Novice Medallists and has become highly known through diving all over the UK.

Our divers train up to 5 times per week at different levels and capabilities and are aged from just 5yrs to 18yrs of age

Albatross runs a Novice Competition in June each year which attracts over 150 divers from other Clubs from around the Country. We also run a ‘Christmas Gala’ each December in which divers, Committee members and Coaches are recognised for all there hard work over the year. Other events also include Competitions and displays to music.
