About Us
| The
Albatross Diving Club was formed in December 1978 by Anne Green,
who is now the President of the Club.
Albatross trains at ‘Central Pool’, Battle
Street Reading. The club has approximately 40 diving members
ranging from complete beginners, through to Novice, Intermediate
and National Age Group Levels. We also run a 'Learn to Dive'
Programme of another 25 members
With 6 fully qualified coaches and 4 Assistant
Coaches, the Club has shown great performances through the years
with many National Age Group, and National Novice Medallists and
has become highly known through diving all over the UK.
Our divers train up to 5 times per week at
different levels and capabilities and are aged from just 5yrs to
18yrs of age
Albatross runs a Novice Competition in June
each year which attracts over 150 divers from other Clubs from
around the Country. We also run a ‘Christmas Gala’ each December
in which divers, Committee members and Coaches are recognised
for all there hard work over the year. Other events also include
Competitions and displays to music. In
September 2007, Albatross became the first stand alone diving
club in the country to recieve the
Swim21
accredited Kitemark

When do we train
Our training times are as follows:
Mondays at 5.30pm until 7.00pm
Tuesdays at 6.00pm until 9.00pm
Thursdays at 5.30pm until 6.45pm
Saturdays from 10.30am until 12.30pm
Sundays from 6.30pm until 8.30pm
